SiNNERMAN

Anna Carini is originally from Atlanta, Georgia.  She has also lived in Charleston, South Carolina and Fort Collins, Colorado and now calls Chicago home.  Some of the Chicago theaters she has appeared at are Chicago Dramatists where she is an Artistic Associate, Chicago Jewish Theatre, Raven, Circle and the Apollo, among others.  Most recently she performed in Ten Cent Night, a new play by Marisa Wegrzyn at Chicago Dramatists.  She also appeared last season at the Gift Theatre in the Jeff recommended production of White People and the Jeff Nominated production of W;t. She is a founding member and the Artistic Director of SiNNERMAN Ensemble.  She is a proud graduate of Colorado State University and The School at Steppenwolf.  This past Spring/Summer, SiNNERMAN Ensemble produced her first full length play, Sweet Confinement, and she is extremely proud of the company for winning four After Dark Awards for the production: Outstanding New Work, Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Set Design.  Next up, she can be seen in the Gift Theatre’s production of Stop Kiss.

What movie would you remake so you could play the lead?

No remake; I just want to play Janis Joplin.

Scariest thing you’ve ever done?

Riding a roller coaster for the first time. I was on a youth group field trip at Six Flags and I was freaking out so badly in line that one of the counselors asked a friend of mine if I was having family problems.

I talk in my sleep

What could you simply not live without?

Names of your old imaginary friends (if applicable)?

Podrul–is that how you would spell that? I mainly talked to him while sitting on the toilet. weird.
