Calliope Porter
Calliope is a founding member of SiNNERMAN Ensemble. Other Chicago companies with whom she has worked include The Gift, Second City Conservatory, New Leaf Theatre, Chicago Dance Crash, Collaboraction, with whom she is an artistic associate, and various independent film productions. Also, with her mother she co-created and performs Girls Wear Shirts, a multi-media show produced by Silent Partners.

(Yes, for real. No, I didn’t make it up, it’s not a stage name. That’s what my parents named me. Yes, Calliope is a Greek name. No, I’m not Greek - nor am I Incan. Whatever joke you come up with about my name may be hilarious to you, but it’s probably not very funny to me. It’s OK if you mispronounce Calliope, I’ll just correct you.)
