Howie Johnson

Howie was born and raised on the south side of Chicago.  He trained at Players Workshop, Second City and Act One Studios.  He is thrilled to be a member of the SiNNERs where has has been seen in BIBLE B-SIDES and IVANOV.  He has also played at many theaters around town including Profiles, Pegasus Players, Mary Arrchie, EP Theatre, Buffalo Theatre, Trap Door, Illinois Theatre, Northlight and Eclipse.  Howie was a company member of The Boxer Rebellion and appeared in many shows there including LEPERS OF BAILE BASTE, CREEPS and THE VORTEX.  He lives out in New Lenox with the greatest wife ever known, Susie.  Without her he would still be working all day at a job he hates instead of doing something he truly loves to do with people he truly loves to do it with.

Full Name:

Michael Alan Johnson.  Yeah, I know there’s no Howie in there anywhere.

Current Project:

KILLER JOE at Profiles, PILLOWTALKS on the web

Upcoming Project:

Helping to produce SiNNERMAN’s DAYS OF LATE

Hometown:

South side of Chicago, which you already know if you’ve ever heard me speak.

Scariest Moment:

Had to be that time I rushed into a burning building to save all of those puppies.

Movie You Would Remake So You Could Play The Lead Role:

Die Hard.  I was born to be a smart ass, regular guy, action hero.  As long as someone else does all of the stunts.  I would seriously hurt myself.

What You Simply Could Not Live Without:

Susie, the best wife ever.

Song You Sing When Nobody Is Listening:

I rarely stop singing so the list would be way too long.  If you are looking for the most embarrassing song I have been caught singing, I would have to go with “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus.  I like it.  Get over it.

Personal Hero:

My dad.  He worked three jobs most of his life, and worked pretty much up until the end, even though his body was falling apart.  I have always worked hard and strived to be the best at whatever I do because of his example.
