Stefin Steberl

Stefin was born in sunny Adams-Friendship, Wisconsin and spent his childhood summers there with his grandparents and twin sister.  His interest in design came from a childhood far more interested in Barbie’s furniture and clothing than the woman’s many adventures as both a doctor and waitress.  He went on to study Art and Acting and his equal interest in both led him to costume design.  He’s knee deep now and enjoying every minute of it.  Stefin was educated at Columbia College Chicago in the Theatrical Design Program.

Recent Chicago credits include SWEET CONFINEMENT, BIBLE B-SIDES (SiNNERMAN Ensemble); THE RANT, THE CARETAKER, OUR BAD MAGNET, MUD PEOPLE, HOW TO DISAPPEAR, BEGGARS IN THE HOUSE OF PLENTY, BARTLEBY THE SCRIVENER (Mary-Arrchie); SKIN, REFUGE (Shabam Productions); POLAROID STORIES (Alrosa); ALICE (NWAC); THE WHITE AIRPLANE (Polarity Ensemble); THE SCARLET IBIS, PULL OF THE MOON (16th Street Theater); LA CAGE AUX FOLLIES (Bohemian Ensemble); REWIND (Side Project).  Other costume design credits include ENDGAME, MARISOL, and NIGHT OF THE IGUANA.  Stefin was previously the resident designer for Columbia College’s SPECTACLE FORTUNA and is currently the resident designer for Alrosa.
